How to Install New Graphics Card & Remove Existing One

Before you begin, you will need the following:

Step 1) Uninstall the current graphics cards drivers. Go to Start, Right-Click on My Computer, click Properties. Click on the Hardware tap, click on Device Manager. Under Display Adapters, click on the expand button (+), Right-Click on the existing adapter, and click Disable or Uninstall. We recommend Disable because if you ever want to use the existing graphics card, you don't need to re-install the drivers.

Step 2) Remove existing adapter. Turn off your PC and unplug it from the wall. You may need a screwdriver here to unscrew the screws from the bracket. Some PC manufacturers simply has a latch which don't require a screwdriver.

Step 3) Install new card. Simply push the card firmly down the AGP or PCI slot.

Step 4) Install new drivers. Turn on PC, insert the software and wait for the auto load program to start.
